Volvo models to set 180 kph as top speed with Care Key

Early news coming from Global news room of VOLVO cars is that, from now on as a social responsibility VOLVO has decided to put down his speed limit to 180kph, which means for the upcoming cars, you cannot drive on highways beyond 180kph and that's ok, this will ensure your safety not guaranteed though because that's totally depends on your driving skills. the aim of the VOLVO cars is that to remain to as near as possible to 0 fatalities on the roads, that mostly occurs due to over speeding.

Apart from the speed limitation VOLVO has added a new feature called as Care Key, which enables preventing the cars from over speeding the desired limit, which means that you can simply set the speed limit of your car and get tension free from over-speeding unintentionally, as per VOLVO this feature will prevent you landing cars on the other one.

These two features will send a strong message in the automotive industry about how much VOLVO is serious about the safety related issues and is ready to compromise the business, this will set VOLVO as a leader for automotive safety.

"we believe that a car maker has a responsibility to help improve traffic safety"  as per Malin Ekholm head of VOLVO car safety function "our speed limiting technology and the dialogue it initiated fits that thinking, the speed cap and care key help people reflect and realise that speeding is dangerous, while also providing extra peace of mind and supporting better driver behavior".

the problem with over speeding is that in-car safety technology and smart infrastructure design are no longer enough to avoid severe serious injuries and fatalities in the event of an accident.

Research shows that on average, people have poor understanding of the dangers around speeding. as a result many people often drive too fast and have poor speed adaption in relation to the traffic situation.

Apart from over speeding intoxication and distraction are the other elements of safety features that is on the list of VOLVO's vision of zero fatalities.

what do you think about the move made by VOLVO is it good or bad or cannot say.
