Lack of Wireless charging standards was the major obstacle behind the commercialization of wireless charging implementation, due to availability of standards, implementation will be easy not only in China but globally.

For the past four years WiTricity has been working closely with China electric power research institute (CEPRI), China automotive technology and research center (CATARC) and the CEC, WiTricity has published 20 chinese patent as essential for the standards and for the technology implementation. China has its GB standards committee to define the EV wireless charging solution to be deployed in China.

The new Standards included under GB/T 38775 document

GB/T 38775.1 Wireless Charging system for Electric Vehicles part 1: General Requirements
GB/T 38775.2 Wireless Charging system for Electric Vehicles part 2: Communication between On board Charger and Charging system
GB/T 38775.3 Wireless Charging system for Electric Vehicles part 3: Special Requirements
GB/T 38775.4 Wireless Charging system for Electric Vehicles part 4: Electromagnet Environments limits and test methods

Company's that have licensed WiTricity Technology are

Zhejiang VIE science and Technology Co. Ltd.
Anjie Wireless Technology (Suzhou) Co. Ltd.

Current scenario till date is VIE has already pilot production facility for OEMs for wireless power charging whereas Anjie demonstrated Wireless Charging with Xpeng motors.

lets in the future which technology prevails and up to what extent.
